Love it so far. I think the ceramic cup and glass cup are great, maybe the same for a mug? Would definitely want to see a to go cup if possible, and what would a tiny espresso cup/mug be like? And on the flip side, a huge cappuccino cup (like a bowl) you sometimes get at restaurants? A bit more odd: maybe the glad coffee maker pot itself? A thermos of sorts?
Yeah, I was thinking about this too.
I think maybe we keep it to cups for now, and then in future we can add some different coffee makers: aeropress, moko pot, pour over, coffee pot, etc
I love the pattern on the cup.
I love all these suggestions, I’ll play around and send some versions later today.
A Fiestaware cup came to mind. I drink my coffee out of their cups. Fiesta started along the Ohio River almost 150 years ago. Their ceramics are the best quality with nontoxic paints and coatings. I just love all the fun shapes and colors. Here is some of my collection with a peppermint soy latte ( 1 drop 100% pure peppermint essential oil no sweet stuff)
Love that Chequetet!
Also dope PFP haha
Here are a few new variations of bodies and heads.
I really liked the red shiny one you posted.
So reworked the main cup to show a bit more on top, that way we can draw an animate more designs.
To go cups and taller glasses will be a bit harder to add animation too, but all eyes will have some attitude.
These are looking amazing!
@Sloppypencil, now that we can see the top, I feel like we need some of the classic latte-art designs.
looking great so far, man.
A few suggestions for heads:
We could also do some shirt logos inspired from different coffee regions? For example:
This could allow folks to trade into their favorite brew methods and varieties
I’m so down for all of these heads, but I’m the interest of time I think we should stick to cups for now and add coffee making devices later on.
We’ve also been talking about the idea of seasonal attributes (not yet sure if the contracts support this, need to take a look) that are only available for a limited time.
I love this idea so much!
I don’t want to sound condescending, but it’s Colombia, not Columbia (I’m not Colombian, but I grew up in Colombia, and Colombians get really offended when they spell their country’s name wrong )
Thank you for the really cool designs so far @Sloppypencil!
The idea for designs based on different parts of the world is amazing. I like incorporating the design into the cups directly like in the draft below with the “blue wavey design” being the cultural specific design instead of the clothing.
After living in Bogotá the past 3 months I enjoy the fractal designs seen in fashion, art, and design throughout the city. ETH LatAm and ETH Kipu do an excellent job of incorporating this into their design. It’s cool how the Ethereum logo comes out in the native designs also.
I’m OCD about cup design and I’d love to see a ~12 oz porcelain or ceramic tumbler that is normal width (Not ultra wide) and does not have a handle on it. These are my favorite cups to use because they are more aesthetically pleasing and feel nice in the hand due to the balanced design, compared to traditional mug cups with handles.
I also like the travel version of these tumblers made from rice husk fibre bioplastic.
Oh wow, seems like I was missing all the fun. Something I’ve seen people doing is going to Starbucks in different countries just to grab the regional cup as a travel memory.
Would be interesting adding this mechanic somehow, for example if you buy Honduran beans you get an Honduras pattern in the cup or the shirt.
I really like this idea.
Over in the Telegram, there has been some discussion about initiatives to help local farmers: tracking supply chains, more equitable revenue share, etc. Something like what your suggesting could be an interesting component of this.
Would be really neat for folks to collect something regional/local for each bag of coffee they buy.
Love that idea!
We currently have 3 different designs for the heads
-The to go cup can easily be the one with the most materials and designs, can do seasonal, regional, and go crazy with even designs in the cup holder.
The Cappuccino Glass might be a bit harder to regionalize but we can play with metal, glass, ceramic etc
The good ol cup, we can def do regional designs on these
Adding this trippy glass design just for fun as well
The animations are looking great, and I love the mug and to-go cup!
I’m not sold on the cappuccino glass yet. I think it should probably be transparent to show the contents of the coffee. Nice thing with this is we can several variations on the filling.
Nice! Yeah lets do transparent on the cappuccino glass then. Can play around with that instead of tops so maybe I can do it a little taller and focus on the inside.
Some Latte art design for the mug heads!
